Is Personal Statement Proofreading Worth It?

Hi everyone,
I’m currently working on my university applications and have written a draft of my personal statement. I’ve seen a lot of services offering personal statement proofreading, but I’m not sure if it’s really necessary. Do small grammar and structure changes actually make a big difference in admissions? Has anyone here used a professional personal statement writer or editor before, and was it worth it?
